Untitled – December 21, 2005

December 21, 2005

I am finished. This was a rough quarter. I took 13 graduate level credits. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I would be on campus from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Now I start an even more painful quarter. I will be driving from Seattle to Olympia about two to four times a week for work.

Since being done with the quarter things have eased up quite a bit. I have been working on Brian and Traci’s wedding video. I have been shopping at all the great Seattle stores. I have been working out and watching movies. Speaking of movies, I have seen some great ones these past few weeks. First I saw Syriana – great movie. The movie was confusing as hell but I did a little research on the movie afterward and I got it all straighten out. Read the synopsis first if you are going to see it. I also saw Brokeback Mountain. That was the best movie I have seen in 2005. It is the cowboy movie. You heard it here first but Brokeback Mountain will win best picture. Finally, I saw King Kong. My advice on that one is, skip it. Wait for video. It was an hour too long, too many special effects and they added in dinosaurs for no apparent reason. My friends brought their eleven-year-old son and he slept through the last hour and he was hopped up on candy. He should have made it through the movie.

Seattle has been beautiful lately – until today. The sunrises and sunsets have been great. The Cascades and the Olympics have looked like a painting in the horizon. And Mount Rainier has simply been majestic. But today it rained. Hopefully, it will not be too terrible when I drive home this weekend.
